The origin story
FROM THE WILD HILLS OF OAXACA
El Cabrón Mexicano is crafted from 100% Mexicano agave, wild-harvested at full maturity after 12-15 years in the rugged hills of Oaxaca.Beloved by maestros mezcaleros for its intensity and character, each agave is chosen at its peak. The piñas are roasted slowly in below-ground pits, machine-crushed without the use of animals and double-distilled in copper stills. No additives. No shortcuts. Just wild, artesanal mezcal — floral and perfumed, with green and vegetal aromas that recall fresh herbs, nopal cactus and wet earth.Tamarind, lemon, grapefruit and cardamom rise through roasted nuts and dried honeysuckle. Deeply evocative. Wild and sweet. An untamed expression of the land where history, fire and agave become mezcal.

HOW TO SERVE
FAQ
Where is El Cabrón made?
El Cabrón is produced at Casa Cabrón Destilería, our custom-built distillery in the sacred valley of Mitla, Oaxaca. Here, centuries of mezcal-making knowledge meet modern innovation as our maestro mezcalero creates mezcales that balance heritage, progress and uncompromising mastery.
What is the difference between mezcal and tequila?
Tequila is one specific type of mezcal made from Blue Weber agave, while mezcal can be crafted from many different agave varieties. Mezcal develops its distinctive complexity through roasting rather than steaming, allowing fire, earth and agave to shape its flavour.
How should I serve it?
El Cabrón Mexicano is a complex wild-agave mezcal best enjoyed neat in a crystal glass or brandy snifter, sipped slowly.
